Device of self-quenching of spills of combustible liquids (self-quenching floors) USP-01F1

USP-01F1 designed by the INTEN company in collaboration with the international specialized organizations, is an effective and reliable means of extinguishing and preventing the ignition of spills of combustible liquids.

Device of self-quenching of spills of combustible liquids («self-quenching floors») USP-01F1 — is a passive non-volatile fire protection element that does not require constant maintenance, which is in constant readiness state, the operation of which does not depend on the serviceability of automatic fire extinguishing equipment.

The design provides complete self-suppression of the combustion process of the liquid flow when it passes through the channels of the device, prevents splashing and spilling (spreading) of falling flows of burning liquid. Thus, the main advantage of USP-01F1 is reliable localization of the spillage and prevention of a fire in a case an emergency release of a burning liquid in the area where these devices are located.

High throughput (from 0.1 cubic meters per second per square meter, depending on the viscosity of the substance) allows to minimize damage even in case of very large accidents.

USP-01F1 advantages:

The self-quenching device can be used as technological floors, withstanding a load of up to 400 kg per sq. m, in all industries where the constant circulation of combustible liquids is presented.

USP-01F1 is effective in case of fire:

• at oil refineries

• at oil pumping stations

• fuel and lubricant storages

• at oli-tanker and oil-product termonals

• transportation departments

• on offshore oil platforms

• in the area where oil loading and unloading devices are located

USP-01F1 has no analogues in the Russian and foreign markets. Currently, it has been installed and successfully tested at Russian and foreign nuclear power plants, as well as other energy facilities.

Certificate and patent

The efficiency of the devices is confirmed by numerous experiments in which various types of combustible liquids obtained at oil refineries were used. The experiments were carried out by the «FGBU VNIIPO EMERCOM of Russian» and other independent testing laboratories.

A patent for an industrial design No. 110110 has been received. The patent for invention of a new type of USP is under progress now.
